Miroslaw Shpak wrote “You don’t need JWT anymore”, suggesting Web3 instead. From the looks of the writeup, Web3 certainly looks simpler to use on the surface.

He published a Web3 client for Javascript to make it convenient to use; note that I haven’t kicked the tires on this myself, and I’m just now hearing of Web3, so I have no way to gauge the usefulness of the library or the technology.
